UAE Lawyers Association Highlights the Future of the Legal Profession in the Gulf at Qatar Lawyers Association Forum

The UAE Lawyers Association participated in the first session of the second day of the Qatar Lawyers Association Forum, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen legal and professional cooperation among Gulf legal associations and institutions, and to exchange expertise and perspectives on the future of the legal profession and ways to advance its development.

During the session, Lawyer Dr. Hassan bin Mattar Al Riaimi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Lawyers Association, presented a paper entitled “The Legal Profession in the Gulf: Between Reality and the Future – Towards a Unified Professional Vision.”

The paper examined the current state of the legal profession across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, highlighting the key challenges facing its development, as well as opportunities to strengthen cooperation and joint efforts among Gulf professional institutions.

It also explored prospects for advancing the profession and enhancing its standing through a series of visions and proposals aimed at building a more integrated and coordinated Gulf professional framework. These include promoting unified professional approaches, strengthening the exchange of expertise and experience, and keeping pace with the evolving developments in the legal sector.

The UAE Lawyers Association's participation reflects its commitment to strengthening its presence at Gulf legal forums, contributing to the development of the legal profession, and supporting cooperation and integration among lawyers' associations and legal institutions across the GCC countries.
